The Section

The General Anthroposophical Section is one of the twelve sections, or faculties, that constitute the Goetheanum – Freie Hochschule für Geisteswissenschaft. It was founded at the Christmas Conference in 1923, together with the General Anthroposophical Society.

The central task of the Section is to foster the study and research of Anthroposophy as a field of knowledge, as well as of the human being as a physical, soul, and spiritual being. Through its work, the Section contributes to the ongoing development of Anthroposophy and to its contemporary significance.
